“Many people saw the announcement that the funeral prayer would be held at six o’clock and immediately began asking how the corpse was brought back,” he said.
“I told them I do not know. The government should answer that question. Even I want to know how my father’s body was retrieved.”

“The truth is that diabetes did not cause the illness,” he said.
“We believe it may have been a snakebite because the marks and condition observed on his leg support that possibility.”
He acknowledged that only God knows exactly what transpired during his father’s final days but maintained that the diabetes explanation remains unconvincing to family members.
The conflicting claims have further fueled calls for an independent clarification of the circumstances leading to the retired officer’s death.
Wife Still Held Captive
Adding another layer to the tragedy, the family has categorically denied reports circulating on social media suggesting that the late general’s wife had regained freedom.
Ishaka declared that his mother remains in captivity.
“As of now, anyone saying she has been released is lying,” he said.
“She is still being held by the kidnappers.”
