Nigerian industrialist and philanthropist Aliko Dangote has been named in TIME Magazine’s 2026 list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.

He joins a select group of global leaders, business executives, and cultural figures recognised for shaping the future across key sectors.

TIME Magazine released its annual TIME100 list on April 15, 2026, highlighting individuals whose leadership, ideas, and actions are driving global change.

Dangote, founder and president of the Dangote Group, is the only Nigerian on this year’s list and is featured in the “Titans” category.

This marks his second appearance on the prestigious list, having first been recognised in 2014 for his impact on business and philanthropy.

Other prominent figures on the 2026 list include U.S. President Donald Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and Pope Leo XIV.

Also recognised are global technology leaders such as Google CEO Sundar Pichai and YouTube CEO Neal Mohan.
