Three Suspects Arrested in Sokoto
The investigation eventually led operatives to Sokoto State, where three suspects were arrested following extensive surveillance operations.

The vehicle allegedly used in transporting the arms was subsequently impounded in Kabba, headquarters of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Recovered items include:
- Two AK-47 rifles
- Multiple AK-47 magazines
- Sixty-seven rounds of 7.62mm ammunition
- Two pistols
- Twelve rounds of pistol ammunition
- Military uniforms suspected to be intended for criminal operations
Security experts note that the recovery of military uniforms alongside firearms is particularly concerning, as criminal groups have increasingly used military-style disguises to evade detection and deceive local populations during attacks.
